When I Went Looking for You the First Time

Stephanie Morgan

Playback is something I do compulsively, thinking about what I did, what I said, how I said it, when I said it and how you looked. It's not so much reworking the past as stripping the bones dry for anything new and I admit I wanted you to acknowledge me more than perhaps you were capable. Trapping you after work might not have been very considerate and my timing was always kind of self-serving. Is this why you ran away? For if you haven't, why am I looking for you?
